Flamborough Boxing Day Dip Gets an 80s Makeover

Flamborough Boxing Day Dip Gets an 80s Makeover

Published by Matthew Pells at 6:01am 24th December 2019.

Disco fever will be hitting South Landing in Flamborough on Boxing Day as the annual dip takes on an 80's theme.

Dippers are being encouraged to don their 80’s disco outfits for the fund raising event although dressing up is not compulsory.

The Flamborough event is in it's 11th year and is organised by the local pre-school.

Will Traves is their chair and says the funds they raise this year will go towards a big building project.

The dip will start at 10.45am on South Landing and will be followed by Long Sword dancing in the village.

The dancers will perform from noon with the grand finale in Dog and Duck Square at 3pm.

Will says the East Riding Council and the RNLI are helping with parking and safety.
