New Year Fireworks Display In Scarborough

New Year Fireworks Display In Scarborough

Published by Karen Liu at 4:07pm 19th December 2019.

Spectacular fireworks will light up the night sky above Scarborough during the first few minutes of 2020 to celebrate the arrival of the New Year.

The ten-minute fireworks display on South Bay beach will start at the stroke of midnight to add an extra special touch to residents’ New Year festivities and, in support of the local visitor economy, those visiting the area to celebrate the New Year with family and friends.

Scarborough Borough Council is encouraging everyone to come out to watch the sparkles, whirls and glittering showers and mark the start of 2020 and the new decade, together as a community.

The fireworks will be best viewed from the South Bay seafront or vantage points along the South Cliff.

who is paying for these fireworks, yes i bet it is all the taxpayers of the area and not just scarborough residents. Are they contributing to anything put on in other areas?
