The Conservative's have held the Yorkshire East parliamentary seat with an increased majority.

Sir Greg Knight increased the number of votes he received to 33,988.

The turnout was down slightly on the 2017 election at 65.5%

The declaration was made just after 3am.

There were gains for all the parties apart from Labour who lost over 5,000 votes compared with 2017.

It was a decisive win for Greg Knight who took 64% of the vote.

After the declaration Sir Greg spoke to Matthew Pells.
