Bridlington Charities Invited To Learn About Cyber Security

Published by Karen Liu at 12:13pm 10th December 2019.

Bridlington charities and groups are being invited to learn about cyber security.

A free training course is being held at Bridlington Spa tomorrow (Wednesday 11th December) from 10am until 2pm.

The event has been organised by the East Riding Voluntary Action Service (ERVAS) who has partnered with the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA) and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

It is an awareness session about how to protect your organisation and understand more about what cyber security means to you.

The session will cover the following:

  • What is cyber security
  • Threats that charities face
  • Backing up your data
  • Protecting your charity from malware
  • Keeping your smartphones safe
  • Using passwords
  • Avoiding phishing attacks
  • Reporting an incident

Anyone interested is asked to book onto this event by visiting Eventbrite at: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cyber-security-for-charities-tickets-78147205395

If you would like to discuss the session further, you can contact ERVAS directly on 01482 871 077 or email training@ervas.org.uk.
