Bridlington RSPCA Asks for Christmas Help

Published by Jon Burke at 12:08pm 6th December 2019.

A Bridlington pet charity is asking for help for its cats, dogs and rabbits this Christmas.

The Bridlington Driffield and District RSPCA says it's not re-homing any animals now till the New Year.

It's got 31 cats and kittens, 3 rabbits and some dogs, though those are being looked after in York.

The charity is asking for donations of food, treats and toys.

They can be taken to a number of places in Bridlington.

Branch Treasurer, Kay Harrison, said:

"People can just buy something, when they're out shopping and they can take it to the cattery, if they wish.

But the easiest thing is to hand it in to any of the local veterinary practices, or they can take it to our charity shop on Quay Road, or we have two food collection boxes in Tesco and Morrison's in Bridlington and they can pop it in there.

We like to give them all a new toy or two at Christmas and something special. They do get toys, periodically through the year, but when they're in over Christmas you want to do something special for them don't you?"
