Bay City Rollers Come to Scarborough

Published by Jon Burke at 1:17pm 28th November 2019.

Dig out your tartan outfits – The Bay City Rollers icon Les McKeown is bringing his energetic stage show to Scarborough Market Hall tonight.

More than 500 tickets have been sold for the event.

Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers promise  a unique voyage back to the 1970s, when Les and his legendary band ruled the world’s pop charts. The Bay City Rollers’ music became the soundtrack for an entire generation of teenagers and they went on to become the world's first international teen idols.

Les brings back the all the thrill and excitement of Rollermania, performing all the band’s original hits including Bye Bye Baby, Shang-a-Lang, Remember, Summerlove Sensation and Give A Little Love as well as introducing new songs from the new album Lost Songs.

Julian from Apollo Music, the promoter of the event, said:

”We’re so honoured that Les and the boys have agreed to come to Scarborough. The Bay City Rollers we’re the biggest band on the planet back in the day – like the One Direction of the 1970s. Everyone of a certain age remembers their songs and headed out on the town with a flourish of tartan. We can’t wait to bring a massive slice of nostalgia to Scarborough Market Hall”.
