A Doncaster man has been charged with drugs offences after plain clothes officers saw a suspected drugs deal going on in Bridlington.

It happened on the Promenade around 10am yesterday (Tuesday 26th November).

Officers from the proactive team observed what they believed to be a drugs deal underway and arrested a man.

83 wraps of suspected crack cocaine, 53 wraps of what’s thought to be heroin, and an 8 gram bag also believed to be heroin was seized.

The drugs are estimated to have a street value of around £2,000.

Charles Turner, 20, of Doncaster but currently of no fixed abode has been charged with two counts of possessing a class A drug with intent to supply.

He has been bailed to appear at Beverley Magistrates Court in January.

Humberside Police said:

"This great arrest sends out a clear message to those who are concerned in the supply of drugs that we will not tolerate this criminal activity.

Please contact the police on 101 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111 to report any drug dealing ongoing in your area."
