Suspicious Activity And Shed Burglaries In Bridlington

Published by the Yorkshire Coast Radio News Team at 1:12pm 18th November 2019.

Bridlington Police say there has been suspicious activity and shed burglaries in the town.

Officers received a couple of reports over the weekend of unknown people trying the front door handles to properties on Kirkgate and Sewerby Road during the early hours.

Police said:

"Thankfully on both occasions no entry has been gained however this serves as a timely reminder for all residents to ensure their properties are fully secure before they go to bed or leave their address.

A check to ensure all doors and windows are locked and any alarms activated will help prevent any opportunist crimes being committed.

There has also been a couple of shed burglaries reported on Cleeton Way and allotments around Bridlington where sheds have been forced open and items stolen inside.

Officers added:

"Please consider security lighting, CCTV and high security locks to deter criminal activity and look towards registering any high value items with immobile.com.

Should you witness any suspicious activity that you suspect is a crime in action please call 999 or for non-emergency reports please contact 101.

Visit our Website for burglary prevention advice and register your property with Immobilise here."
