Volunteers Wanted For Flamborough's Living Seas Centre

Published by Karen Liu at 6:01am 25th October 2019.

The Living Seas Centre in Flamborough's looking for more volunteers.

It is run by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust who need people to help with next year's programme of events.

Sean Duggan, who is a volunteer, said:

"All training will be given and we have various roles; from counting sheep on Flamborough Head because we manage the grassland there, to working in the shop, classroom, with children on the beach rockpooling, seashore safari etc, painting, decorating, cleaning, there's roles for everybody.

It's an information centre so we get all the local bird watchers and walkers in every day.

We get children in every day, free of charge, in the discovery room; lots of activities, we've got a bird watching station, we've got TVs up with birds nesting in boxes and it's free, it's a great place to bring your children."

Sean has been speaking to Yorkshire Coast Radio's Paddy in the Morning:

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer can contact Anthony Hurd, Manager of the Living Seas Centre in Flamborough, on 01262 422103.
