Flamborough RNLI Looks For More Supporters

Published by Jon Burke at 8:01am 20th October 2019.

The Flamborough RNLI Supporters Group is looking for more volunteers.

It wants people who can help them with fundraising, spend some time in the shop and also wants crew members for the lifeboat.

The Group holds fundraisers through the year, including the Summer Funday, Mayday event and monthly Bingo sessions.

Chair of the Group, Pat Toft, said:

"The RNLI in Flamborough is very important, because it's a headland here, there're a lot of caves that get cut off, people fall down the cliffs,  dogs fall down the cliffs, there're sand banks, there's a lot of shipwrecks around this area.

So, our boat is an Atlantic 85, which is ideal for the sort of work round here and it is kept quite busy."

If you would like more details, you can contact Pat on 01262 851645.
