The Trackrod Rally Yorkshire kicked off in Filey on Friday night and hundreds of cars will return to the town on Saturday afternoon.

Matt Edwards in his Fiat 131 holds a slender 1.9 second lead over Matthew Robinson in his MK2 Escort after Friday's rally through Dalby Forest.

Deputy Clerk of the course, Lloyd Walker says it's a chance for people to get up close to the classic rally cars.

The cars will complete two further stages on Saturday in both Cropton and Dalby Forests.

They then return to Filey on Saturday afternoon for the official finish and prize giving. The cars will start arriving back in Filey around 3.15pm.
