East Riding of Yorkshire CCG Rated As 'Good'

East Riding of Yorkshire CCG Rated As 'Good'

Published by Karen Liu at 7:00am 22nd September 2019.

East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group has been rated as 'good' by NHS England.

It is the second year the local CCG has been awarded the classification.

Every year NHS England provides each CCG across the country with a headline assessment, based on indicators set in
the CCG Improvement and Assessment Framework (IAF).

The assessments are categorised into inadequate, requires improvement, good and outstanding.

East Riding of Yorkshire CCG's 'good' rating is based on a combination of financial, clinical and leadership measures.

The CCG said:

"In addition to this overall headline rating we hold good ratings in four of the six clinical priority areas set; Cancer,
Learning Disability, Mental Health and Diabetes.

One clinical priority area that does need improvement is dementia, where we are now within 0.1% of the national target for early diagnosis rates.

We have also been awarded the highest possible rating for patient and community engagement - a green star.

This is based on five domains: governance, annual reporting, day to day practice, feedback and evaluation, and equalities and health inequalities.

Whilst we are delighted with our achievements, we know there is always more that can be done and we remain committed to improving further and offering our population the best health service possible."
