A man has been airlifted to hospital after a crash involving a motorbike on the A64 Seamer bypass.

Emergency services were called to near Dunslow Road at 5.46pm yesterday (Tuesday 17th September).

The rider of the grey Suzuki, a 59-year-old local man, suffered serious but not life threatening injuries.

He was taken by air ambulance to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough where he is receiving treatment.
