Emergency Services in Bridlington

There has been a flurry of activity by the emergency services in Bridlington over the last 24 hours.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to the harbour at lunchtime today , the coastguard and ambulance service were also in attendance. They appeared to be dealing with an incident on the south pier.

In an unrelated incident yesterday police sealed off part of the Harbour Top car park.

Police say they were called just before 9am yesterday morning (Thursday 12 September) to reports that a man with injuries had been found in the Harbour car park off South Cliff Road, Bridlington. 

The man was taken to hospital for treatment to what are thought to be serious injuries. 

Enquiries to establish how he came to be injured are underway and Humberside Police say officers will be in the area today. 

In a statement for force said

"We do believe that the man was on Bridge Street until around 1.40am and we are keen to hear from anyone that saw him in the area throughout the night. 

We ask anyone with any information to call our non-emergency 101 line quoting log 121 of 12/09/18 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. "
