Eastfield Church Burgled And Vandalised

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about the burglary of a church in Eastfield.

Police received a report stating that at some point between 6pm yesterday (Monday 12th August) and 8.30am today (Tuesday 13th August), the Church of the Holy Nativity on Westway had been broken into.

Thieves had gained entry into the church and stolen food items from within the building and caused damage to the property – namely spray painting the church steps.

Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, they are appealing for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact police.
