A man from Scarborough is set to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in 13 days next year for charity.

Anthony Baker, 31, is aiming to raise £4,300 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust - which is a condition he has.

It takes place on the 17th of September next year.

He wants to inspire others to change their own lives, after going through a weight loss journey.

Anthony, who is a fitness instructor and personal trainer, said:

"So in 2016, I was 21 stone and I got to the point where something had to change.

I had little children running around so I made the conscious decision to start a journey basically.

For the first few months, obviously it was hard, but nine and a half months later, I had lost almost 10 stone.

If I can inspire one person to get up and decide to change their life, that's all I need.

It doesn't matter how many more, but just one person to realise that anyone can get out there, and they can do whatever they put their mind to.

The hardest step is making that decision.

I see people come through the door day in, day out that are so scared; never be scared, just take that chance, take that leap of faith and see where you can go."
