Scarborough Stay Top As Drury Fires Again

Scarborough stay top of Yorkshire Premier League North after a five wicket win over Sheriff Hutton Bridge.

Opener Sam Drury top-scored with an unbeaten 136 as they knocked off Sheriff's 239/7 with more than six overs to spare. Kristian Wilkinson took two wickets for Scarborough.

In the York Senior League Premier, Folkton & Flixton looked set for a third win in four games but the rain brought an early finish to their clash with Beverley Town. After skittling Town for 200, Folkton and Flixton were just 33 runs from victory, with 12 overs remaining and seven wickets in hand. Rich Malthouse was left not out on 66. Earlier, Chris Mann had taken four wickets to peg back Beverley.

In Division Two, leaders Bridlington eased to a ten wicket win over Selby.

Whitby were equally dominant in a 175-run North Yorkshire South Durham League victory over Blackhall. Skipper Will Donald top scored with 112, including seven sixes as the hosts posted 303/6 from their 50 overs. Donald then popped up with four wickets as the County Durham side were bowled out for just 128.
