Scarborough Road Closed Due To Filming

A road in Scarborough will be closed all day due to filming for a new TV series.

Sandside will be closed from 9am to 10pm today (Monday 13th May) as the BBC shoot scenes for their new comedy series called 'Scarborough'.

Pedestrians may be asked to wait for up to three minutes while it's being filmed.

Businesses are still open during this closure.

The road will also be shut next Monday (20th May).

Film crews are parking in West Pier and Northstead Upper car park.

They also plan to be in East Sandgate today.

Over the next two weeks, they will also be at various locations:

  • 15th to 17th May - The Penny Arcade
  • 17th May - The Golden Grid
  • 20th May - Ivy House
  • 21st May - Anton's
