Round Britain Walk Reaches Bridlington

Round Britain Walk Reaches Bridlington

Published by Matthew Pells at 6:06am 22nd March 2019.

A man who is walking three and half thousand miles around the coast of Britain in aid of Cancer Research is spending a second day walking down the Yorkshire Coast.

Laurence Carter started his walk in Brighton last summer. Today he's heading south from Bridlington.

Laurence explains why he's doing the walk.

Father of three, Laurence, is completing the challenge for his wife, Melitta, who passed away at the age of 53 from cervical cancer. He aims to raise £200,000 for Cancer Research UK in Melitta’s memory.

Laurence began his epic walk from his family’s home town of Seaford, East Sussex, on June 16 2018 and is making his way clockwise around the coast of England and Wales, passing through 29 counties.

Laurence says he's doing the walk to raise both funds for research but also awareness...

You can see Laurence's planned walking schedule and his actual progress on his 3500 To End It website.
