Scarborough Man Jailed After A Number Of Motor Vehicle Thefts

A Scarborough man has been jailed for 16 weeks after a number of thefts from unattended motor vehicles over the weekend.

It happened in the Manor Road area of Scarborough on Saturday evening (9th February).

Police charged Richard John Dobbs, 48, of Trafalgar Square with five thefts from motor vehicles.

He stole items such as bags, clothing, phone chargers and cash.

Mr. Dobbs appeared in court today (Monday 11th February) and was sent to prison for 16 weeks which includes a breach of a suspended sentence.
