More Than £4,500 Raised By Scarborough Pub For Charity

A Scarborough pub has raised just over £4,500 for charity.

The Plough Inn in Scalby hosted a fundraiser last night (Tuesday 5th February) which had food, a raffle and an auction.

They managed to raise £4593 and that will go to the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.

Two staff members Mark Deeming and Tom Harrison are also running the London Marathon this year in support of the same charity.

Mr. Harrison said:

"The charity is close to us as the company we work for has been raising money for this particular charity for many years.

It was a great success with Stepney Hill farm donating much of the food, and Betton Wine donating the prosecco on arrival.

There were loads of other amazing gifts which were also donated through local businesses."
