Plans For Bridlington Seafront Regeneration To Be Displayed

Published by the Yorkshire Coast Radio News Team at 2:42pm 22nd January 2019.

Plans to redevelop the seafront in Bridlington are going on public display.

People will have the chance to speak to officers and designers on Thursday 31 January between 2.00pm and 6.00pm, and then again on Friday 1 February from 10.00am until 2.00pm at the Bridlington Spa.

The exhibition plans cover the seafront running northwards from garrison Square up to East Riding Leisure Bridlington.

The scheme is another phase of the town's regeneration plans and include works to be carried out as part of the Bridlington Quay Townscape Heritage project.

Other works that have taken place in the town include the redevelopment of streets through the Bridlington Integrated Transport Plan and the creation of the Gypsey Race Park.

Councillor Andy Burton, portfolio holder for economic investment and planning delivery at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said:

“This is an exciting scheme and will enhance the urban realm on the seafront.”

The plans will be available on the Bridlington Renaissance website www.bridlingtonrenaissance.comafter the consultation.
