Health Workers Wanted On Yorkshire Coast

Published by the Yorkshire Coast Radio News Team at 3:39pm 20th September 2018.

Staff are wanted to work in inpatient units and community teams across Scarborough, Whitby and Bridlington.

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation trust, which provides some community services in Scarborough Borough, is hosting its biggest ever recruitment event.

The roles on offer include working with adults, older people and children as well as young people's mental health services.

There are nursing, support staff, social work and therapy positions available, with the recruitment event taking place at Clarendon Health Centre on Park Street in Hull on Saturday 29 September from 10.00am-4.00pm.

Care Group Director for the Trust, Jan Smith said:

“With new services and facilities planned and a continued commitment to recruit great people to deliver great services, we are looking for people to join our teams.

We have 70 roles available (including across Ryedale, Hull and the East Riding), both clinical and non-clinical, in lots of different care areas and we’re looking for caring, friendly and enthusiastic people to join Humber.

We have decided to hold a recruitment day as opposed to posting every job online so we can meet candidates face to face and give people a real sense of what it’s like to work at Humber.

There will be a strong emphasis on nursing careers, including registered mental health nursing, nursing associates, health care assistants and housekeepers.

Information will also be available on how you can join our staff bank for short notice shift cover.

Whatever age and whatever stage of your working life you’re at, you’ll be made to feel very welcome at our event.

We are committed to recruiting to our vacant posts and talking to people about future opportunities to work with our Trust.”

Job hunters can 'drop in' any time between 10am and 4pm with interviews on the day for candidates who have booked a slot on the Eventbrite page or submitted an application form online in advance of the event. Application forms will also be available on the day for those who are interested in the current vacancies.

Candidates who would like to be interviewed without pre-booking will be allocated a slot on the day of the event on a first come, first served basis.
