Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust is hosting its biggest ever recruitment event with 70 roles up for grabs this autumn.

The Trust is recruiting staff to work in inpatient units and community teams across Hull and the East Riding in adult, older people and children and young people’s mental health services.

With interviews being held on the day, a broad range of jobs is on offer from nursing to support staff, social work and therapy.

The event and interviews will take place at Clarendon Health Centre, behind Victoria House, on Park Street in Hull, on 29 September from 10am to 4pm.

Speaking about the recruitment drive, Care Group Director for the Trust, Jan Smith said:

“With new services and facilities planned and a continued commitment to recruit great people to deliver great services, we are looking for people to join our teams.

We have 70 roles available, both clinical and non-clinical, in lots of different care areas and we’re looking for caring, friendly and enthusiastic people to join Humber.”

Having become a teaching Trust earlier this year, the organisation is keen to encourage people from all walks of life to apply and offers a fantastic induction programme with ongoing support and training to all staff.

Jan explains:

“We have decided to hold a recruitment day as opposed to posting every job online so we can meet candidates face to face and give people a real sense of what it’s like to work at Humber.

There will be a strong emphasis on nursing careers, including registered mental health nursing, nursing associates, health care assistants and housekeepers.

Information will also be available on how you can join our staff bank for short notice shift cover.

Whatever age and whatever stage of your working life you’re at, you’ll be made to feel very welcome at our event.

We are committed to recruiting to our vacant posts and talking to people about future opportunities to work with our Trust.”

On the day, staff from various departments will be on hand to discuss roles and the services the Trust runs across the region.

Job hunters can 'drop in' any time between 10am and 4pm with interviews on the day for candidates who have booked a slot on the Eventbrite page or submitted an application form online in advance of the event. Application forms will also be available on the day for those who are interested in the current vacancies.

Candidates who would like to be interviewed without pre-booking will be allocated a slot on the day of the event on a first come, first served basis.
