A Scarborough shop is celebrating International Marble Day.

Gekoglass, which is based in the town's Market Hall, will be holding competitions, games and a Marble Quest.

There'll also be new marbles on display and any money raised from today's event will go towards a new kiln for the company.

Lindsay Broddle is the co-owner of Gekoglass, she said:

"The Marble Quest will be based on all three floors in the market. You have go round, solve the clues to work out the puzzles and then claim a prize at the end, which is very exciting!

When we first started Gekoglass, we decided that we wanted to have things that were for all ages.

We didn't just want to sell things for grown ups, we wanted to sell things for children as well.

We decided marbles was the way forward and unfortunately it became a very big passion of mine.

I've got one of each marble that we have."
