Seamer Horse Fair Site Opens

The site at Seamer Horse Fair has opened.

Scarborough borough council says works to set the site up started on 10 July.

Provision includes Heras fencing along the boundary with the neighbouring property, 24/7 site management and CCTV coverage, temporary toilet provision and water standpipes.

Travellers will be provided with refuse bags on entry to the site, which are collected during the event.

The site opened to travellers at 5am today, Thursday 12 July, and will close at 2pm prompt on Sunday 15 July.

North Yorkshire Police is working in conjunction with Scarborough Borough Council to ensure anyone visiting the Horse Fair has a safe and enjoyable time.
