Police Appeal for Witnesses To An Alleged Assault in Bridlington

APPEAL FOR WITNESSES - BRIDLINGTON

Police are appealing for information after an attempted robbery that happened at 2356hrs on Sunday 15 August 2010, on Station Road, Bridlington.

A 45-year-old man was walking down the street, when he heard footsteps behind him and then felt a blow to the back of his head.

He was then allegedly punched to the head three times, before falling to the ground and being kicked repeatedly to the head and the face.

Whilst striking the man, the offender demanded money but left the scene without taking any property.

The victim suffered a cut to the left eye which required stitches, and was taken to Scarborough Hospital for treatment.

Police are now appealing for information about the incident.

The suspect is described as a man in his mid 20s, 6ft 3ins tall with a skinny build, wearing a black hooded top and black adidas tracksuit bottoms.
