Today sees the start of the Scarborough Real Ale and Arts Festival.

It's the second year the festival has taken place and is being held at the Old Parcels Office at Scarborough Railway Station.

It runs until Saturday (14 October) and is open from noon until 11.00pm daily. This year, the festival , which is run by CAMRA, will have a showcase of beers, ciders and a selection of local brews and distinctive ales.

Festival organiser Stewart Campbell said:

“We are delighted that following last year’s successful event we will be staging the second real ale festival in association with the Campaign for Real Art at the Parcels Office.

There will be over 65 real ales including 18 casks from micro-breweries in Scotland and 20 ciders and perrys featuring produce from the heartland of cider country, the South West plus some local Yorkshire ciders.”

Entry is free to CAMRA members, otherwise there is a £5 entrance fee.
