Cyclist Seriously Injured In Bridlington Collision


10:10am 17th July 2017

A cyclist's been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car in Bridlington on Sunday evening.

Shortly before 5.30pm, a blue Citroen Berlingo collided with a cyclist on the A614, at the junction with Bessingby Gate.

The 18 year-old cyclist sustained serious head injuries in the collision and was air-lifted to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough for treatment.  The driver of the Citroen was uninjured.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to call them on the non-emergency number 101, quoting log 498 of 16/07/17.
