Bridlington Harbour

The 4th annual 'Sailing Coble Festival' will take place at Bridlington harbour over the weekend of 27th-28th July. Organised by the Bridlington Sailing Coble Preservation Society, with the full co-operation of the Bridlington Harbour Commissioners, this years event will be the biggest and best yet. A number of other historic vessels will be attending in addition to the many sailing cobles that will be present throughout the weekend. A recently restored motor/sailing lifeboat built in 1917 will be making the passage from South Shields, together with a 1940's 40 foot keelboat and a Paull shrimper completed in 1918. Various exhibitors and traders stands are to be set up in the Vessel Maintenance Facility at Clough Hole, adjacent to the harbourside car parks, and will include a display of traditional fishermen's ganseys. Sailing will take place over both days of the Festival in the Beautiful Bridlington Bay.
