Often quoted, referenced or even spoofed, there are some films we feel we are all supposed to have seen - why? From Screen Classics and Award Winners to Art-House and Cult - do all these 'iconic films' really deserve their reputation? We examine why some continue to grow into justified 'cultural corner stones' whilst others will perhaps never be greater than the sum of their parts. But for a few key references, are some once iconic movies already now fading from memory? What does it take to be a truly iconic film and what do we really understand by the term in the first place? Still captivated by Casablanca? Never seen Star Wars? Don't worry - this course will prove that you're not alone.
There will be a break for half term.
