Marine litter is one of the biggest threats to our marine environment. It affects wildlife through entanglement and ingestion as well as polluting our seas. You can help reduce these threats by taking part in a beach clean with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
Meeting point: The shelter at the bottom of Martins Ravine junction with Royal Parade.
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Litter pickers, gloves and bags provided.

Mindfulness Level 1 – Being Present training provides an in-depth personal practice experience in a tutor led group environment:

It is ideal for beginners and for those who have previous experience of mindfulness and who want to develop their practice.

Also, this provides a good foundation for those who wish to go on to train to teach mindfulness.

Level 1 – Being Present takes place over four weekends spread out over a nine-month period.

Enables participants to establish an effective and regular daily mindfulness practice so as to help the mind to settle and stabilise.

Mindfulness is proven to be beneficial for mental health in the right circumstances and participants on our courses have reported:

Feeling less stressed
More resilient to life’s challenges
Feeling more relaxed
Increased self-awareness and confidence
Increased sense of wellbeing
Recent scientific evidence states that meditation & compassion-based mindfulness practices change the brain in a positive way and help to:

Lower heart rate and blood pressure
Relieve stress, anxiety, depression, and insomnia
Increase ability to cope with difficult situations

Completing this course qualifies you for Mindfulness Level 2: Responding with Compassion and our Teacher Training

LADY BUDS: "Lady Buds" are a travelling folk/roots and urban new age rock duo that met May 2018 in Liverpool, England.
Joining forces from 2 individual solo artist backgrounds. They have just been signed to a record label and we are so proud to have them so early in their career.

Lottie Holmes: Our very own Vegan cake and pastry-making singing-superstar! Will light up the Commercial Paddock Stage at 1pm.

We will also have live music from within the paddock area as you arrive from local singer Victoria Rimmington.

M.A.P is a Macmillan Yorkshire special event. Enjoy a great chilled out day of music from accomplished recording musicians in a picnic atmosphere whilst taking in breathtaking views. Held at Newlands Cottage Paddock, Newlands Road, Cloughton, YO130AR on Sunday the 2nd August 2020 1pm until 7.30pm gates open from 12pm. Tickets are just £12.00 plus a small Eventbrite online booking fee (kids under 12 are just £1.50) they are also available from Flossies Farm shop (just past the Bryherstones pub on your right), Newlands Farm, Cloughton, Scarborough, YO130AR from April 2020. Come and join us! Accomplished musician Alexa De Strange will be announcing the acts. Security staff will be on hand to assist any needs you may have. Due to the nature of this event Dogs are allowed when on a short leash at all times. Gate opens at 12pm (please arrive early we have live music from just after 12pm in the paddock)

Celebrating the music and the life of the singer’s singer!

The show stars TV & West End star Darren Day along with very special guest Tracey Jordan, one of Joe’s backing singers, joined by the Joe Longthorne Band under the directorship of Andy Mudd, Joe’s musical director.

Endorsed by Joe’s husband Jamie, images of Joe and video footage of him at home and on stage will feature on screen. Tracey will also sing the duet You Don’t Bring Me Flowers with Joe as they did on many shows.

The production also features all the big songs that the Joe’s fans love to hear –Mary In The Morning, Don’t Cry Out Loud, Wind Beneath My Wings, My Mother’s Eyes, If I never Sing Another Song and many more.
