The Rollin' Stoned at Holmfirth Picturedrome

Friday 20th March, 2020 7:30pm to 11:00pm

Market St
West Yorkshire

"A magnificent Mick... exquisitely designed costumes... spot-on guitar playing" - Mail On Sunday

"…phenomenal... I can't wait to tell Keith and Mick that you could easily stand in for them" - Doris Richards (Keith's Mum)

A tribute to The Rolling Stones focusing on the early part of their career from 1964 - 1969 including 'Jumping Jack Flash', 'Paint It Black', 'Not Fade Away' and 'Satisfaction'. They have been described by The Times as 'better than the real thing' and it's not just enthusiastic fans who rate The Rollin Stoned so highly, it's the people in the know and those from the Stones' inner circle; even booking the band for a band member's birthday party..

We hope you've got the name and if you're puzzled by our game, why not take a look at some of the things that have been said about us, ".... the nearest thing to the real article" was the view of one reviewer who claims to have seen them all in 'The Times', ".... about as true to the originals as you can get" raved another and "Just like the real thing" enthused rock star photographer Gered Mankowitz at his recent private view. Indeed Keith Richards' own mother, Doris, was kind enough to describe us as "outstanding" and fit to "stand in for the Stones" which is about as good an endorsement as any could wish. Well we could go on, but you get the picture, it's not just enthusiastic fans who rate the Rollin' Stoned so highly, it is the people in the know and those from the Stones' inner circle.

With a Rollin' Stoned show, the costumes are shamelessly camp gaudy and fab, the instruments genuinely vintage and the wit irreverent. However while the tongue is never far from the cheek we make sure it is never to the detriment of the music. This band is not to be confused with the grotesque parody on parody 'Stella Street'-Lite Stones bands that abound, nor a bunch of seasoned old pros, opportunistically hitched on to the "Tribute Bandwagon" for an easy ride.

General Admission: GBP 15.00

Artist: The Rollin' Stoned

Category: Live Music | Gig

March 20-22 2020

In 2020 it will be a truly International Festival with many bands from the USA, including the incredible Grammy Award winning blues and gospel singer Mike Farris.

The weekend will also include the UK Premier (and possible only UK appearance) of Kaz Hawkins' magnificent new stage show Memories of Etta, first performed at the Cognac Blues Festival, France, in July 2019.

The festival is also taking over the whole of the Scarborough Spa in 2020, allowing us to promote an extensive programme of the very best Blues, R&B, Classic Soul, Americana, and Roots Music in TWO comfortable venues; the Spa Grand Hall AND The Ocean Room.

All performances are coordinated to ensure no clashes, so no need to miss any of the incredible artists we have booked.

In addition to Kaz Hawkins and Mike Farris the full line up includes:

The Billy Walton Band (USA)
Kyla Brox
Grainne Duffy (IRL)
Elles Bailey
Marcus Malone & Innes Sibun

Some 'Single Session' tickets will be available at a later date but these will be balcony only tickets, and will not include the Welcome Party, any of the After Parties or the finale of the festival on the Sunday night.

So, if you want to see every minute of this impressive festival at the most cost effective price an Early Bird Weekend ticket (£114) is strongly advised.
