Through her brothers Osbert and Sacheverell, Edith encountered Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes, crossed swords with Noel Coward and in 1922-3 collaborated with William Walton on the presentation of her best-known work Façade. Tim will talk about these poems, their connection with the Sitwells' Scarborough background, and close by presenting some of the Façade poems to recordings of Walton’s music.
