The last remaining professional seaside orchestra continues a seaside tradition that dates back to 1912.

We invite you to sit back, relax and enjoy a performance by some of the most versatile musicians you are ever likely to find.

As always, our morning concerts will present music on the lighter, brighter side with plenty of familiar tunes and jaunty rhythms, balanced by romantic melodies, stirring marches, lilting waltzes – and so much more to entertain you.

All morning concerts are performed within the elegant Suncourt Enclosure with Scarborough's stunning South Bay as the back-drop. If the weather is inclement, don’t worry, we simply move inside!

Our concerts still offer excellent value but if you have never experienced a Scarborough Spa Orchestra we invite you to one of our Sunday morning concerts where you can Pay What You Like! (Recommended Donation £3)

We look forward to meeting our audiences throughout the season, renewing old friendships and making new ones as we aim to introduce more and more people to the wonderful music played by the Legendary Scarborough Spa Orchestra.

There is no better way to spend a relaxing morning in Scarborough!

We hope to see you this Summer.

When families get together to celebrate a special occasion, there’s a danger that all hell will break loose. Particularly if you happen to be trapped for several days with all your relatives and copious amounts of alcohol...

Neville and Belinda are hosting their extended family over a long weekend. The presence of two tyrannical uncles – Bernard, whose ham-fisted annual puppet shows are a source of dread to young and old alike, and TV addict Harvey – promises to stir up trouble from the start. And that’s before you add to the mix broken toys, creaking marriages and guest novelist Clive, whose relationship with Belinda’s sister Rachel is going nowhere, causing him to look for love elsewhere.

Directed by the author, this is the first time that the Stephen Joseph Theatre has staged Season’s Greetings since its premiere here in 1980. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see a sparkling new production of a classic Ayckbourn comedy.

If you are a leading surgeon in London’s most prestigious hospital and you are delivering the “Lecture of the Year” to a hundred of the world’s leading physicians, the last thing you want is a distraught mistress from 20 years ago turning up.

Well Dr. Mortimer can cope with that, but when the erstwhile mistress says that the result of their past union was a baby boy, he is more than gobsmacked. And when the ex-mistress then tells him that the baby boy, now a strapping sixteen-year old, is waiting outside to be introduced, there is only one course of action – send for faithful friend, Dr. Bonney.

Typical Cooney complications ensue involving a police sergeant, Dr. Mortimor’s wife, a severe hospital matron and Dr. Bonney’s mother.

Featuring performances from Jack Buck, Jordan Butler, Chris Copeland, Penny Cullen, Ian Dobson, Kenzie Greenwood, Ivan Hall, Sally Jones, Karen McCarthy, Katrina Stead, Polly Stephenson, Steve Upton & Chris Wales.

Directed by: Ian Dobson

L. Frank Baum’s classic novel comes to life in The Wizard of Oz. This faithful adaptation by the Royal Shakespeare Company features all the most beloved songs and moments from the 1939 classic film, brought to life onstage. Young Dorothy Gale is swept away by a tornado from her Kansas farm to the magical land of Oz. There, she encounters a host of whimsical characters: good witches, bad witches, animals that talk, scarecrows that walk, and things magical to behold. To find her way home, she must journey along the Yellow Brick Road to see the mysterious and all-powerful Wizard in Emerald City. Along the way, she makes new friends, but must also brave many dangers, including the Wicked Witch of the West, who will stop at nothing to get her hands on Dorothy’s magical ruby slippers. To make it home safely, Dorothy must learn an important lesson: there’s no place like home.

Skinny Molly

Apollo Music and Promotions in association with Neue Regel Radio are very pleased and honoured to welcome SKINNY MOLLY to the Apollo.

SKINNY MOLLY

Skinny Molly was founded by guitarist/vocalist Mike Estes (formerly of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blackfoot) original Molly Hatchet guitarist Dave Hlubek and Nashville, TN studio drummer Kurt Pietro.

Originally slated to do a one-off tour of Europe in 2004, Skinny Molly has, fourteen years later, become one of the hardest working and popular rock bands out of the southern United States. "That first tour went great," Estes says. "so we decided to keep it going." From 2004 to 2007 (Hlubeck went back to Molly Hatchet in 2005) the band had different members come and go. By 2008, the line up was solidified for the next nine years; Estes, Pietro, former Rossington Band and Blackfoot guitarist/vocalist Jay Johnson and Grand Ole Opry stalwart bassist Luke Bradshaw.

They toured relentlessly and recorded three albums; "No Good Deed" (2008) "Haywire Riot" (2012) and "Here For a Good Time" (2014) "We did the 'Three in Thirty' tour after the first record. Three continents in thirty days. It was nuts. We've been staying on the road or in the studio a whole bunch since then. The plan is to keep going as long as people keep coming to see us." Estes said.

"The cool thing about this band is we ain't really stuck on one sound or style. Some songs are a little bit country, some ain't. I like all kinds of music, and so does everybody in the band" Estes said.

The result of this is a gumbo of southern rock, old country, blues, hard rock, and Americana. All three records, while different from each other, retain Estes' dark lyrics about lost love, redemption and the freedom of life on the road. "On 'Good Time' I did let some lighter moments shine through" he said. "Everybody in the band is comedian, so, why not?"

In 2017, as the band was doing demos for a new album and gearing up for a long Euro tour, Kurt Pietro informed his band mates that he could no longer be in the band due to family commitments. "Of course, we were disappointed.

He and I had been playing together for over thirteen years". Estes says. "But I understood. Life on the road can take a toll on family and life at home, and he's got school age young'uns that need him around". Former Blackfoot drummer Christoph Ullman played the Euro tour and Kurt continued to play with Skinny Molly in the States until a replacement could be found.

Enter drummer Kyle Law. April, 2018.
Kyle came in on the recommendation of a good friend of the band; blues-belter Miranda Louise. "It took us eight months to find Kyle. I can't thank Miranda enough for steering us to him. He really plays for the song; He lives to play the drums. I love that about him. He's coming on strong with the new CD, and he slayed it at the "Ramblin' Man Festival" this past June" Estes says.

For the rest of 2018, the band will finish the summer with shows in the Sates. A European tour will commence on October 11, 2018 in London (Chiselhurst) UK. There will be a total of three London shows this tour. "This will be our longest tour yet. We're changing the set around, and there's gonna be some surprises" Estes said. Please click the "Tour" tab for all updates.

Skinny Molly has built an extremely loyal international following the old fashioned way; playing an energetic live set with concrete solid songs anywhere in the world that will have them: Euro rock festivals, Stateside bike rallies, the world's largest fishing tournament in Mexico, to any honky-tonk in any given place on the globe, their battle cry is unwavering; "Never let a single fan go home disappointed" a vision that quite of few bands have not only lost sight of, but never had to begin with.
