Reiki Healing, is a form of energy healing, that can help with physical, mental and emotional problems, by clearing blocked energy points on your body. The drop in is so that people can come and have a chat and a taster session to see if this would help with any of their problems. I have seen significant results in clients with rheumatism, arthritis, back pain, migraines and chronic conditions such as Fibromyalgia. Come and see if we can help you.

From Mindfulness to Insight with Rob Nairn world pioneer in Mindfulness

Friday 5th July, 2019 6:30pm to 9:30pm

Tel: 07943289811

Londesborough Lodge
The Crescent
YO11 2PW

Rob Nairn will give a talk about moving beyond secular mindfulness and compassion techniques to the cultivation of insight- seeing into and thereby becoming free of the repetitive thinking that keeps us trapped in cycles of suffering. He will be introducing his new book From Mindfulness to Insight, most books in the secular mindfulness tradition stop with mindfulness and self compassion but do little to uncover the root causes of our suffering. Drawing on both Buddhist analyses of mind and current findings in psychology and neuroscience, his book explains how our thinking becomes fixed and routinised through our engaging with unconscious preferences and reactions. Through the cultivation of insight, we can disentangle ourselves from these patterns, which leads to greater equanimity, freedom and compassion.

739 Squadron Air Cadets Recruitment Evening

Friday 5th July, 2019 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Tel: 01723 381110

Cadet Centre
Coldyhill Lane
YO12 6SE

Are you up for fun, adventure, incredible experiences and making new friends? Are you looking for something to give you the edge in life? Then welcome to the Royal Air Force Air Cadets (RAFAC).

Better known as the 'Air Cadets', we're a national cadet force with more than 40,000 members aged between 12 (must be in Year 8 at school) and 20 years.

We're sponsored by the Royal Air Force and can give you hands-on experience of activities and courses that will challenge and develop your skills to help you succeed in whatever you want to do.

As a cadet you'll have the opportunity to do things that others only dream about. Want real flight experience? No problem. How about heading out on adventurous training and camps, sometimes overseas? Normal for cadets. Competitive sports, drill, shooting, music, abseiling, engineering projects? Our list of activities is long, varied and open to all cadets.

Yes it's a challenge, but that's what life's all about.

Let's face it - where else would you be given the opportunity to fly solo in a glider or powered aircraft when you're 17? Whatever you do with your life, at the end of your time as a cadet you'll be self-motivated, confident and ready for anything!

So, if you are interested in joining us. How about coming to our upcoming Recruitment Evening on Tuesday the 2nd of April. Here you will be able to find out more about what we do and if you feel it is right, become a part of this amazing organisation!

We kindly ask that if you do wish to come, you pre-warn us of your attendance on our website in the "Cadet Intakes" section. We can't wait to see you there!
