The Spa Theatre
The Spa
Scarborough

The last remaining professional seaside orchestra continues a seaside tradition that dates back to 1912.

We invite you to sit back, relax and enjoy a performance by some of the most versatile musicians you are ever likely to find.

As always, our morning concerts will present music on the lighter, brighter side with plenty of familiar tunes and jaunty rhythms, balanced by romantic melodies, stirring marches, lilting waltzes – and so much more to entertain you.

All morning concerts are performed within the elegant Suncourt Enclosure with Scarborough's stunning South Bay as the back-drop. If the weather is inclement, don’t worry, we simply move inside!

Our concerts still offer excellent value but if you have never experienced a Scarborough Spa Orchestra we invite you to one of our Sunday morning concerts where you can Pay What You Like! (Recommended Donation £3)

We look forward to meeting our audiences throughout the season, renewing old friendships and making new ones as we aim to introduce more and more people to the wonderful music played by the Legendary Scarborough Spa Orchestra.

There is no better way to spend a relaxing morning in Scarborough!

We hope to see you this Summer.

St Oswald's Church restoration appeal launch event

Thursday 27th June, 2019 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Web: http://stoswaldslythe.org.uk

St Oswald's Church
Lythe Bank (A174)
Whitby
YO21 3RW

Visible for miles around, St Oswald's in Lythe is a beautiful, ancient church with an internationally famous collection of Viking stones on display.

On Thursday 27 June at 6pm, we're holding an event in the church to launch a large fundraising appeal for crucial restoration works. We'll begin with some entertainment from the children of Lythe School, and this will be followed by light refreshments and a presentation about the work that needs doing to restore and preserve this iconic hilltop church. To round off the evening, there will be performances by local musicians.

If you have any interest in St Oswald's – whether you're a local parishioner, someone interested in the history of the Grade One-listed building and its remarkable collection of Viking and medieval stones, or someone who's perhaps been married or baptised or has loved ones buried there – please do come along to enjoy an evening of entertainment and learn about our plans. No booking is required, and you'll be made very welcome.
