We invite you to sit back, relax and enjoy a performance by some of the most versatile musicians you are ever likely to find.
As always, our morning concerts will present music on the lighter, brighter side with plenty of familiar tunes and jaunty rhythms, balanced by romantic melodies, stirring marches, lilting waltzes – and so much more to entertain you.
All morning concerts are performed within the elegant Suncourt Enclosure with Scarborough's stunning South Bay as the back-drop. If the weather is inclement, don’t worry, we simply move inside!
Our concerts still offer excellent value but if you have never experienced a Scarborough Spa Orchestra we invite you to one of our Sunday morning concerts where you can Pay What You Like! (Recommended Donation £3)
We look forward to meeting our audiences throughout the season, renewing old friendships and making new ones as we aim to introduce more and more people to the wonderful music played by the Legendary Scarborough Spa Orchestra.
There is no better way to spend a relaxing morning in Scarborough!
We hope to see you this Summer.

You will find out how you can influence what happens in the future as ECA and ETRA come together in a single voice to represent the whole of the area.
Edgehill Community Association was established in 1973 for the benefit of the residents of the Edgehill estate and surrounding area. It works with residents and a range of organisations with the aim of improving life for local people. The association runs social groups for older people as well as creative crafting sessions, luncheon club, over 60’s group, junior club, before/after school clubs and a holiday club for young people, all of which are accessible to people across the Scarborough area.
ETRA was established at the same time as ECA with the express aim of representing the views of all the residents to housing, police and other important agencies that affect our lives.
We have recently decided that both organisations must work as one to ensure our voice is loud and clear as we help ourselves as much as we can.
There will be a short meeting at the end of the evening to get a working committee together.

Monasticism took on a new fervour after the Norman Conquest of England in 1066. Religious Orders from France came to England, Wales and Scotland to seek the 'wilderness'. Pivotal to this new lease of monasticism was the 'Rule of St. Benedict' which was so closely adhered to by the Cistercians, a new monastic order that grew out of the need to follow 'The Rule' more strictly. Here, in North Yorkshire, Rievaulx was established as a daughter house of the monastery at Clairvaux, the seat of the all-powerful Bernard, whose interference in ecclesiastical politics in Yorkshire were to have huge, international repercussions, including the suspicious death of William FitzHerbert, Archbishop of York, in 1153. This course will cover the monastic order in Yorkshire from 1069 to 1215, as well as looking at the broader picture of monasticism throughout England. In particular, we will investigate the growth and the influences that the Cistercians enjoyed in the Medieval period.
If in receipt of benefit/low income you may be able to attend for free - follow the link/call number listed to enrol and reserve a place.
