Platform 5 student Fine Art exhibition prepares to steam ahead!

Scarborough TEC BA (Hons) Fine Art students are busy preparing for their end of year exhibition, Platform 5, which will be launching in a special preview event on Thursday 16th May at The Old Parcels Office, Scarborough, from 6pm.

The five students exhibiting, Final Year students; Kirsty Farrow and Rachel Grant are being joined by Year 2 students; Petra Ingham, Adam Kulscar and Meg Ricketts for the showcase.

Platform 5 will comprise a variety of mediums including; Painting, Sculpture, Photography and Prints all based around the students’ individual practices, as BA (Hons) Fine Art student Kirsty Farrow, explained:
“We have decided to call the exhibition Platform 5 because there are five of us exhibiting and this is going to be a platform on which we can celebrate our individuality and look forward to our future as professional Artists.”
“Because we are holding the exhibition at the Old Parcels Office at Scarborough Station, it also seemed fitting that we tie the event in with the station and the history of the building itself.”

Please register for your tickets at https://platform5.eventbrite.co.uk if you are interested in attending the free preview event. This will take place on Thursday 16th May from 6-9pm, where visitors will have the opportunity to meet the Artists.

Platform 5 exhibition will be open to the public from Friday 17th – Monday 20th from 10am-4pm at the Old Parcels Office, Scarborough Station Y011 1TN.
