The event is to raise money for Rhys' one of our explorer scouts European Jamboree place in Poland in 2020. He is the only representative from Scarborough and has organised this event.

There will be prizes for the wackiest form of transport, best costume and first second and third prizes in the monopoly competition. These will be announced at 2pm.

The family fun day can be attended alongside the monopoly or on its own. The fun day will have stalls including refreshments, burger stall, ice cream and paracord items .

There will be a bouncy castle and fete type games and more . An event not to be missed.

Wagging Tails Dog Walk taking place over the Holiday Weekend : 4th, 5th and 6th May. Register NOW at Wardill Bros Newsagents (Thornton Dale) , collect your map and choose the day you want to do the walk with your dog. £2.50 per entry and rosette and bag of BURGESS DOG FEED to all entries. Walk starts and ends in Thornton le Dale and takes about an hour at a very leisurely pace. Beautiful walk along the Ellerburn Valley. Plenty of cafes nearby. If you don't have a dog but wish to support and complete the walk, Wardill Bros can arrange for Dog Food to be given to Ryedale Dog Rescue. All proceeds go to Ellerburn Church, Friends of Saint Hilda's Group, to help maintain the church. REGISTER FROM NOW UP UNTIL THE 2nd MAY.

East Riding Youth Dance offers exciting opportunities for young people aged 9-18 years.
Working with professional dance artists, East Riding Youth Dance aims to provide young people with little or no previous dance experience, with a fun, energetic and inspiring opportunity to develop both their dance technique and creative dance skills.
The sessions will focus on building strength and fitness along with the creation of an original piece of dance which will be performed at the biggest Youth Dance Platform in the area on Sunday 9th JUNE 2019 at Bridlington Spa alongside other invited guest companies.
If you are looking for an enjoyable way to meet new friends, work as part of a team and increase fitness and muscle tone; improve co-ordination, balance and posture and are excited by the opportunity to learn creatively with specialist dance artists then look no further.
