Thursday 28th February we present another Lunchtime Concert at Scarborough Library. Political journalist and former Calendar presenter Geoff Druett, starring former Opera North singers: David Owen-Lewis (Bass) and soprano Sue Lees with pianists Keith Swallow and Timothy Raymond. There will also be a group of talented children who study with Sue Lees-who will be singing among other things: Pie Jesu and The sound of Music. Keith and Timothy will be performing solos and duets and David and Sue will be singing arias and comedy songs. Geoff will read seasonal poems and present the concert.

The Concert is in the Concert room at Scarborough Library, starts at 12:30, lasts about an hour and admission is by donation on the door.

*Next a Week's Concert (on 7th March 2019) there will be another Lunchtime Concert at Scarborough Library. We present popular soprano Samantha Holden and pianist Frank James. Samantha is an established singer from Teeside, she began treading the boards at the age of eleven. She has a very wide repertoire from Opera to Musicals and Comedy, all of which she will include at Thursday's concert. She sings songs from the 1930s, 40s and 50s her vintage style of music and dress are extremely popular with the Library audience. Frank will also be playing popular piano solos.
The concert-as always starts at 12.30pm, lasts for about an hour and admission is by donation on the door.

Queen Street Players are presenting the pantomime DICK WHITTINGTON at the lower hall at Queen Street Methodist Church Scarborough. Please join us - it's a wonderful evening and fabulous fun for the kids at half term. Lots of sing along songs and lots of audience participation. Monies raised will be donated to local charities.
Ticket prices are Adults £5, Children £4, Family Tickets (2 Adults + 2 Children) £15.00 Please note that the performance on Thursday 28th February commences at 6.30 p.m. Tickets are available from Maria on the number shown below. We look forward to see you.

At the Whitby Rugby club starting at 7.30pm on Thursday the 8th November and then weekly from there on. The club will be known as The Jukebox Ukes and will be open to all , there will be a choice of songs projected onto a screen on the wall so all will be able to follow. So don’t forget your Ukes.

The aim of the club is to allow people of all ages to enjoy their music in a group environment and hopefully learn from each other, so come along if you are both an experienced player, a beginner or anywhere in between.
This is a new venture so we hope it will grow so please come along on Thursday the 8th.
