Scarborough’s unique Shop at the SJT is marking ‘The Greatest of Times’ in tandem with Coastival 2019.

Shop at the SJT, which includes creations from a number of talented local Makers, will feature a selection of specially made items that will be on sale from Monday 18th February onwards.

Shop at the SJT will be open at their usual times and for the festival dates will be open from 11am to 8pm on Friday and 10am to 8pm Saturday.

Shop at the SJT features some of the area’s most eclectic talents, showcasing their creations in this iconic listed building.

Lynne Arnison, chairperson of the collective, said:

“Our Makers are delighted to get involved in this respected festival.

“Creators have made gifts that encompass ‘The Greatest of Times’ theme of Coastival.

“We look forward to taking part in the event and to meeting our customers at Shop at the SJT, which is located in the foyer of the Stephen Joseph Theatre.”

A new series of weekly meditation classes entitled ‘Timeless Wisdom for Modern Life’ will commence on Monday 4 February. Classes will take place on Mondays from 7 - 8:30pm at the Friends Meeting House on Quaker Close in Scarborough. This terms classes will be based on ‘Advice from Atisha’s Heart’ by the great Kadampa Buddhist Master, Atisha. Each class includes guided meditations (seating is on chairs) and practical advice to solve our daily problems. Classes cost £6 per class, or four classes for £20. Everybody is welcome! Den Building and Marshmallow Toasting - activity start times 13:30 & 15:00
Join us in the woodland for lots of den building, fire making and marshmallow toasting!
