Yoga improves your physical strength and flexibility, movements are coordinated with the breath helping to calm the mind. Yoga will help you to relieve stress and tension, ease stiffness and to feel both relaxed and rejuvenated. All classes include breathing practices, gentle stretches, joint mobilisation exercises, a balanced range of postures and a deep relaxation. This course will focus on Seasonal practice with a focus on warming the joints to relieve stiffness, building the length of stretch sequences/ dynamic asana sequences and exploring variations of The Warrior poses. Students will focus on stillness in movement through concentration on the breath, and stillness after movement .

Scarborough Library Concerts Presents: Popular Organist Howard Beaumont's St Valentine's Day Concert

On Thursday 14th February there will be another Lunchtime Concert at Scarborough Library. We present International Concert Organist Howard Beaumont. Howard has had a busy Winter touring in Europe and the UK. 2019 will see him return to the Spa for his 32nd season. At Thursday's concert Howard will be playing music with a love theme for St Valentines Day, along with other popular music.
The concert starts at 12.30pm and admission is by donation on the door.

*Next Week (On Thursday 21st February) there will be another Lunchtime Concert at Scarborough Library. We present the popular singing trio of mezzo soprano Victoria Manders-Wood, mezzo soprano Rebecca Smith and contralto Valerie Parker their accompanist is Tim Tozer. They will be performing a wide variety of music from opera, songs and comedy. Pictured below from left to right is Rebecca Smith, Tim Tozer and Valerie Parker.
The concert as always starts at 12.30pm and admission is by donation on the door.

At the Whitby Rugby club starting at 7.30pm on Thursday the 8th November and then weekly from there on. The club will be known as The Jukebox Ukes and will be open to all , there will be a choice of songs projected onto a screen on the wall so all will be able to follow. So don’t forget your Ukes.

The aim of the club is to allow people of all ages to enjoy their music in a group environment and hopefully learn from each other, so come along if you are both an experienced player, a beginner or anywhere in between.
This is a new venture so we hope it will grow so please come along on Thursday the 8th.
