Farrer’s Bar & Brasserie Presents ‘The Monday Menu With Music’

Relax with the wonderful backdrop of Scarborough’s South Bay whilst listening to some of the very best musical talent that the local area has to offer.

This week, live music comes from Billy Nielsen, a singer/songwriter and virtuoso guitarist with a somewhat 'Americana' style, a mixture of British/Irish folk, blues/rock, American blues/folk, bluegrass and country influences.

He is a performer best experienced live, both on his own and with his bandmates. An established name on the Scarborough music scene.

During his career he has shared stages with the likes of acoustic guitarists Jon Gomm and the late Isaac Guillory, and once jammed with Glenn Tilbrook during one of the Squeeze frontman's concerts.

The event will feature a night of Billy's original material alongside songs from likes of Jackson Browne, Andrew Gold, and a host of others.

Let’s get rid of those Monday blues with delicious food, fantastic live music and a wonderful setting.

Monday Menu served from 6.30pm
Live Music 7pm – 9pm

Saturday 31st March -3rd April: 7.30pm.

Directed by Ian Dobson.

This funny, heart-warming sequel to the enormously successful, "Ladies Day" performed by WADS last Spring Bank, follows the four fish-factory lasses, Pearl, Jan, Shelley and Linda from Whitby on their adventures in Australia.

After hitting the jackpot at Ladies' Day in York, the fish-filleting foursome are celebrating in style with the trip of a lifetime to the land of Oz.

While Shelley dreams of luxury and glamour, the rest of the gang decide to go native and camp out under the stars at Uluru. But Shelley soon discovers there's more on offer than posh hotels, stunning beaches and sun-kissed surfers; and Pearl finds that she's got a mountain of her own to climb, a problem that she is loathe to share...

Tickets: £8

Some say he’s blunt. Others would call it ‘rude’. Either way, Roman J Israel (Denzel Washington) isn’t afraid to tell it like it is.

Once a passionate political activist who rallied in the streets for equality and justice, he’s now a defence lawyer who represents the down-and-out criminals of Los Angeles.

But constantly fighting for the underdogs has taken a toll on Roman, and he becomes more jaded and discouraged by the day. When he suddenly finds himself laid off by his firm, he reaches a turning point.
