Scarborough Food and Gift Fair will hit the high street on Saturday (17th February) offering an excellent choice of food and gift ideas to shoppers in the seaside town.

Stall holders will be located in Westborough, Scarborough’s main shopping area, from 9.30am to 4pm.

Caroline Anderson, co-organiser of the Scarborough Food Fair, said: “We are very much looking forward to returning to Scarborough for the second time this month with our new look Food and Gift Fair.

“Our stall holders offer some different ideas for gifts and food shopping in the town. Scarborough Food and Gift Fair is an excellent way to support local producers and businesses.

“We would like to thank all our customers for helping make the event such a success so far, and for the continued support of Scarborough Borough Council.

“We look forward to seeing everyone this Saturday.”

Local Theatre Talent Come Together For Showcase Spectacular

The youth drama school Colebrooke Media will present an extravaganza of dance, drama and song for the first time next year.

Directed by brother and sister Chris and Chanelle Colebrooke and their cousin Jessica Jarman, the local drama school will take to the stage at Whitby Pavilion on Saturday 17th February.

The show is filled with a huge variety of drama, dance and song performed by the budding young actors at Colebrooke Media.

With stories from the land of fairy-tale, freestyle and contemporary dance routines plus dramatic performances including ‘The Monarchy’ starring the children as the royal family.

Chris Colebrooke, the school’s principal said “This is a show not to be missed! There will be joint performances from the teachers alongside the pupils – this will really be a show for everyone”.

QUIZ'OKE IS BACK! Our much-loved quiz is returning now on a Saturday @ 8pm, starting on January 20th 2018. The quiz is on every week, apart from the last Saturday of each month, where we hold our LIVE ENTERTAINMENT (keep an eye on The Ivanhoe's Facebook for more information on these events).

WW2 Living History Weekend

Re-enactors in period uniforms will be onsite at Eden Camp to turn the museum back in time. They will be portraying German and Italian POWs based at the camp and similar camps across the UK between 1943 - 1949.

Mess hut 12 will be used to recreate one of the prisoner barracks with static displays, and members of the group will occupy themselves with authentic work and pastimes, helping to enhance the 1940s theme, allowing visitors to get up close to uniforms, clothing and kit of the period.
