In its 7th Year the Job Fair is a result of a successful partnership between Aspire-Igen who delivers the National Careers Service and Scarborough Jobcentre Plus. The aim of the Job Fair is to bring together local employers who are looking for additional staff, training providers and local people who are looking for opportunities to change their lives for the better through learning and work.

There will be over 40 Exhibitors with 100s of jobs on offer! Certain employers will be Interviewing on the day!
The Scarborough Job Fair 2018 will be held at the grand location of... The Grand Hotel, Scarborough!
The impressive hotel, which has seen guests such as Winston Churchill, dates back to 1867 (fun fact) and we think this is a magnificent location for the Job Fair to be held!

Please keep a look out on our Scarborough Job Fair Facebook Page for information on recruiters that have officially confirmed their attendance so far!

The short story is making a comeback - varied, rule-breaking and fun, interest in this once side-lined form is expanding. Writing a compelling short is a craft within itself and sometimes regarded as a ‘dark art’ - Does every word really need to count? When does the story really start? When should it end? We explore the varying forms, cross the genres and consider the outlets. There’s never been a better time to find inspiration and get motivated, if you have an idea for a story - now is the time.
This course runs every Thursday evening for 10 weeks, with a break for half term.
