North Yorkshire libraries will be encouraging people to #try1thing as part of Get Online Week from 15 to 21 October.

There are 4.3 million people in the UK with no basic digital skills. Get Online Week aims to address that, giving them the opportunity to find the help they need to improve their skills.

North Yorkshire libraries will hold a range of classes and drop-in sessions during the week to provide the chance for everyone to learn something new. Whether people need help getting started with a tablet, want to know more about coding or are interested in researching their family history, the local library will be able to help.

North Yorkshire County Councillor Greg White, Executive Member for Libraries, said: “Many people still struggle with digital skills, making it more difficult for them to access information for hobbies and interests as well as the many online services offered by the County Council and other public bodies. Libraries are friendly, welcoming places, making them the ideal place to try something new.”

Contact your local library to find out more and to book a place.

Hello!

Established in 1978, every Saturday evening Westborough Spiritual and Healing Centre holds a clairvoyant service. We always have a highly experienced visiting medium who passes on messages of love, light, upliftment and peace from our loved ones in the spirit world. Their aim is to provide proof of everlasting life after the so-called material death.

People draw great comfort from these services and you often find that you may come in as a stranger but you always leave as a friend.

Our centre provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere and we are open to anyone no mater what their background or beliefs may be.

There are always committee members on hand should you have any queries about any of our services, our special events that pop up throughout the year or any support we can provide.

Do please pop along and find out a little more about what we do. You're always assured of a warm and friendly welcome within our centre.

Admission is by DONATION ONLY. Refreshments are available after the service.

Our regular weekly Services are:

Wednesday: Open Circle - 7pm-8pm (£2 admission)
Saturday: Clairvoyant Service - 7pm-8pm (donations only)
Sunday: Divine Service - 6.30pm-8pm {donations only)

We hold regular spiritual healing services at 2pm-3pm on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and Thursday evenings 7pm-9pm.

As a non-profit organisation all proceeds go strictly to the running of our centre so that we may keep the doors open to all those who seek the peace, the light, the friendship and support within.
