Are you up for fun, adventure, incredible experiences and making new friends? Are you looking for something to give you the edge in life? Then welcome to the Royal Air Force Air Cadets (RAFAC).

Better known as the 'Air Cadets', we're a national cadet force with more than 40,000 members aged between 12 (must be in Year 8 at school) and 20 years.

We're sponsored by the Royal Air Force and can give you hands-on experience of activities and courses that will challenge and develop your skills to help you succeed in whatever you want to do.

As a cadet you'll have the opportunity to do things that others only dream about. Want real flight experience? No problem. How about heading out on adventurous training and camps, sometimes overseas? Normal for cadets. Competitive sports, drill, shooting, music, abseiling, engineering projects? Our list of activities is long, varied and open to all cadets.

Yes it's a challenge, but that's what life's all about.

Let's face it - where else would you be given the opportunity to fly solo in a glider or powered aircraft when you're 17? Whatever you do with your life, at the end of your time as a cadet you'll be self-motivated, confident and ready for anything!

So, if you are interested in joining us. How about coming to our upcoming Recruitment Evening on Tuesday the 2nd of April. Here you will be able to find out more about what we do and if you feel it is right, become a part of this amazing organisation!

We kindly ask that if you do wish to come, you pre-warn us of your attendance on our website in the "Cadet Intakes" section. We can't wait to see you there!

Martha, Josie and the Chinese Elvis

Tuesday 2nd April, 2019 7:30pm to 10:30pm

It’s Josie Botting’s big birthday and family, friends gather to celebrate. As a work-from-home dominatrix she’s lost the will to dominate and really isn’t in the mood to party. Her most loyal client Lionel is keen to mark the occasion and arranges for a special appearance from the ‘King’… well, Elvis impersonator Timothy Wong.

Her daughter Brenda-Marie with a wisdom beyond her years; Martha - Josie’s devout Irish cleaner who’s none the wiser about Josie’s ‘job’ and happy to keep it that way, make up the party but then an unexpected guest arrives that has the potential to upstage the King himself.

Heartfelt, poignant, and funny in equal measure, Martha, Josie and the Chinese Elvis captures the glimmer of promise and potential that lies in all of us - shining a spotlight on the opportunities that are out there, if only we choose to take them.
