Due to business expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Systems Manager to join Team SWC. You must be a highly accomplished practitioner in Database Management, SQL programming and Report Design.

Job Purpose

You will be a highly accomplished Practitioner around Database Management, SQL programming & Report Design who can contribute to systems creation & systems improvements through collaborative working with the ICT Team & Management Team.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Ensure that SOP’s are fully understood and complied with by staff

  • Ensure that the company’s Quality Objectives are effectively communicated and understood by all staff

  • Assist the Senior management Team to obtain feedback for improving the SOP’s & QMS

  • Ensure that non-conformance issues are reported

  • Contribute to the reporting of the department KPI’s

  • Assist with the monitoring and implementation of preventative actions


ICT Systems

  • Support ICT software and hardware upgrades throughout the business, ensuring compliance with critical version requirements, security requirements and user set-up.

  • Troubleshoot software and hardware problems in user systems, server systems and network systems

  • Provide strategic direction to the Leadership Team around systems development to meet current & future business need

  • Provide technical support for all departments within the business where required


People, Team Working & Communication

  • Assume responsibility for the line management of all staff within the area as agreed.

  • Undertake staff inductions, probationary review meetings, performance review meetings, informal investigatory meetings & annual appraisals with your team accordingly.

  • Lead, coach & motivate the team to achieve their objectives within a supportive culture of continuous improvement.

  • Promote excellence in communication through regular team briefs.

  • Collect useful & meaningful staff performance data.

  • Produce reports based on the information collated that will help influence future strategic decisions.

  • Support and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Identify critical areas and highlight in real time.



Systems Creation, Systems Maintenance and Systems Improvement

  • Provide database table design and set up for projects

  • Provide SQL programming support for various reporting & manufacturing systems

  • Provide management reports using data from SWC's database systems


Project Planning and Implementation

  • Undertake project planning and implementation work as agreed


General Duties

  • Adhere to SWC good practice guidelines, policies and procedures.

  • Participate in individual training opportunities relevant to the post and team objectives.

  • Operate within a strict code of confidentiality where required at all times.

  • Support cover arrangements as requested by your line manager.

PVCu Window Industry technical knowledge either production or software based
