Castle IT, Sales & Procurement are looking for a Supply Chain Assistant to work for a well-established and well respected manufacturing businesses based near Pickering, North Yorkshire

Reporting in to the  Operations Manager  you will be responsible for pricing & purchasing a wide range of IT equipment and also responsible for maintaining  & increasing stock levels. The role would suit someone who comes from a supply chain background.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily communication with staff regarding site requirements
  • Placing orders with the supply chain via telephone & email
  • Maintaining good working  relationships with both colleagues & suppliers
  • Raising purchase orders 
  • Chasing deliveries
  • Meetings with sales reps to understand pricing & materials
  • Expand supply chain through research online
  • General administration

 

 The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • Previous experience with SAGE is essential
  • A background in supply chain
  • Strong organisational & communication skills
